In a way, I have no idea why I'm posting this fic. I'd been meaning to write something funnier on the topic of switching fangirly boyfriends (from David Tennant to Aaron Paul), and just couldn't quite come up with something that's right by my standards. But this is the best I could do, so I'll give it a whirl. It's totally stupid and may not be funny at all. At least I can say I tried :P
Title: Inside kitty's head: Changing of the Guard
Plot: Out with the old (DT), and in with the new (AP) at the cesspool otherwise known as kitty's head. There's a few teething problems.
Warnings: There's a little bit of jumper-punching, bad in-house humour, and a Jim Carrey reference. None of this is factual on any level at all whatsoever, or is reflective of my RL views on the actors in question. It's just nuts, frankly. NUTS.
I've decided to post these two porny fics (ficlets?) together as they're inspired by the same subject, and as you'll likely find, have similar themes running through the writing. The first piece I'd written mid-year while approaching the throes of a fangirly crush, although I didn't really know it at the time. For some reason (my musical whims take me into strange places!), I'd been listening to a lot of Rihanna, which makes it obvious as to why the location of this fic is a nightclub, and one of her tracks is the story's title. There's probably not much to the plot, the usual girl meets hot guy, they hook up, etc., etc., but I hoped to make it a little different by trying to deal in certain, erm, realities, if such a scenario were to arise and unfold in this manner. While I was intending to write a sequel which would delve further (probably into darker territory), I kinda fell for someone else. Oops. That isn't to say I won't get back to this one sometime in the future ;)

The second piece (definitely a ficlet!) is one I wrote as a bit of practice to warm up in preparation for the sequel to Question Existing. I'd come across the starting paragraph in my notebook, and thought it merited some fleshing out, so to speak. Here's the finished product:

Some More Smut Fic Additions

Merry Christmas y'all! It's generally a quiet time of year for me, so thought I'd catch up on my LJ fic backlogging...
This fic I wrote last year and I guess was inspired with someone particular in mind--not that it matters now, as the fic is general enough to carry itself. One of the things that also prompted the story was that line from Alanis Morrisette's You Oughta Know - 'Would she go down on you in a theatre?' I'd wondered at writing about a scenario like that, albeit in reverse, so gave it a try here. Listening to The Presets at the time also helped the creative process :)

The second fic I'm squeezing into this post was another one I started late last year, but actually didn't get to finish till early this year. On the subject of music, the fic was prompted by a La Roux song, 'Tigerlily', from which the title was derived. It was meant to be a no-holds barred PWP to start with. Trouble was, I got stuck with where to take it and end the tale. After reading a book with erotic short stories, in particular one which was film-noirish in its stylings, I finally got around to finishing the ending. Eventually, this fic turned into a bit of a espionagey thriller. The fact that I like James Bond flicks (gross chauvinism aside) may have also had a major influence on how it came out.
I'm hoping to start writing again soon, in light of my newfound love for the show Breaking Bad, or more to the point, Aaron Paul, who plays layabout homie Jesse Pinkman. So stay tuned...

In diversifying my blogging somewhat, I've opted to keep this journal exclusively for fics, which means shifting some content on LJ over here to start with...and keeping it in chronological order :) For the record, this is the first fic I've ever been able to properly finish, which is an achievement in itself, because usually I'm not all that flash at finshing most things I start :P It was written almost two years ago and was inspired by a need to elaborate further on the ending to The Next Doctor, where Jackson Lake convinces Ten to stay and have Christmas dinner, as well as validate the even-Blind-Freddy-could-see-it chemistry between David Tennant and David Morrissey in that episode *g* Upon reading it again for the kazillionth time, I'm totally agog at the density of the language. Cripes, I'll probably never write something of this ilk again!
Just a little warning before the cut: The fic is slashy, and it's pretty dark. Otherwise, if you like the idea of reading about two men boozing and bonding, then by all means read on...
